Founder, ACML
Gilbert C. Akpabey
Gilbert C. Akpabey is an accomplished accounting, auditing, taxation, and management consulting professional with more than four decades of experience across Ghana, Nigeria, and the United States.
His career spans financial management, internal controls, fraud investigation, public-sector oversight, taxation, and strategic business advisory. He has held senior professional roles in both public and private institutions and currently serves as Chairman and Lead Consultant of Akpabey Group LLC.
Beyond his consulting work, Mr. Akpabey is the founder of African-Caribbean Manufacturing Ltd (A-CML) and the African West Indies Diaspora Alliance (AWIDA), reflecting his broader commitment to enterprise development, international collaboration, and strengthening connections between Africa and the Caribbean diaspora.
Known for his commitment to integrity, accountability, and professional excellence, Mr. Akpabey brings extensive international experience and strategic insight to helping organizations strengthen their financial systems, improve institutional effectiveness, and pursue sustainable growth.

The Problem
Currently, most Senior High Schools in Ghana and across WAEC countries have empty or ill-equipped science laboratories, forcing students to learn science without practical experience. This leads to poor understanding of science concepts and low WASSCE performance in core science subjects.
Our Solution
A-CML manufactures and supplies durable, high-quality science laboratory equipment using locally sourced materials at an affordable price. As an affiliate of Akpabey Group LLC, USA, we combine international standards with local production to ensure every SHS can afford a complete, functional lab.
Vision
To ensure no science student in Ghana and across WAEC countries learns science without practical experience - where every SHS has a fully equipped, functional laboratory that delivers better WASSCE results.
Mission
To manufacture and supply affordable, durable science laboratory equipment using local materials, and to equip, repair, and train SHS science departments to transform empty labs into centers of practical learning.
